New Delhi – The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE has been launched recently, further expanding the Galaxy S25 series. After the Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, Galaxy S25 Edge, and Galaxy S25 Ultra, the Galaxy S25 FE becomes the latest flagship smartphone. The “FE” stands for “Fan Edition.” While it’s positioned below the Galaxy S25, it shares several specifications, such as the screen size, battery capacity, charging speed, and camera sensors, with the Galaxy S25+. The most notable thing is that, like all other flagships, it also comes equipped with Galaxy AI features.
Design
The new Galaxy S25 FE looks quite sleek and feels light in hand. It measures 7.4mm in thickness and weighs 190 grams. Compared to the older S24 FE, it’s 0.6mm slimmer and 22 grams lighter. The bezels are thinner, though there’s a noticeable chin at the bottom, making it look slightly different from other premium S-series phones. The rear panel has a matte black finish, and the unit we used came in navy blue color. Even without a case, it doesn’t attract fingerprints or smudges easily.

The new aluminum frame feels sturdy and offers a good grip in the hand. Button and port placement are standard. You get dual speakers, one at the bottom and another in the earpiece, along with two noise-cancellation microphones. It also comes with an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance.
Display
The Galaxy S25 FE features a 6.7-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus+. It offers a peak brightness of 1900 nits. The panel supports a 120Hz refresh rate and FHD+ resolution, providing sharp and smooth visuals. The display performs well in low light, but under harsh sunlight, the brightness could have been slightly better. That said, the visual quality remains impressive colors that are vivid and contrast-rich, especially while watching videos on OTT platforms or YouTube. The speaker quality enhances the overall multimedia experience even more.

Performance and Software
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE is powered by the flagship Exynos 2400 chipset – the same processor found in the Galaxy S24 and S24+. Although these are last year’s models, the chip continues to deliver excellent day-to-day performance in the S25 FE. There were no visible lags during regular use, though it might struggle a bit during heavy gaming sessions.
The smartphone comes with 8GB of RAM, which is sufficient for general use. However, compared to rivals in the same price range, some offer more RAM, which could disappoint number-conscious buyers. The phone tends to heat up slightly during long video shoots, heavy multitasking, or extended gaming sessions.
On the software front, the S25 FE is among the first smartphones to run Android 16 with OneUI 8. It also includes all the Galaxy AI features found in the main S-series lineup, such as Live Translation, Circle to Search, Chat Assist & Transcript Tools. The device comes with around 48 pre-installed apps and promises 7 years of OS updates along with 7 years of security patches.

Camera Quality
The Galaxy S25 FE features a 50-megapixel main wide sensor, an 8-megapixel telephoto lens, and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The camera’s image processing pipeline has been significantly improved over the S24 FE, offering better photography and videography results. The main camera captures detailed and well-balanced photos, especially under bright daylight. The 3x telephoto shots also deliver impressive results, while portrait photos show good depth and subject separation. Low-light photography has improved as well. Turning on Night Mode gives you clean, vibrant shots. On the front, there’s a 12-megapixel selfie camera, which delivers pleasing image quality too.
Battery Performance
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE houses a 4,900mAh battery, which easily lasts a full day on a single charge. Even with heavy use, you’ll likely need just one extra top-up during the day. It supports 45W fast charging, reaching up to 65% in about 30 minutes. There’s also 15W wireless charging support.

Price and Verdict
The Samsung Galaxy S25 FE (8GB/512GB) is priced at Rs 65,999. At this price, it offers good value for money solid performance, capable cameras, and the complete suite of AI features. However, if it had a Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and slightly faster charging support, it would have been an even more compelling package. That said, it feels premium in hand and brings most flagship-level features to a relatively affordable price bracket.
