The fad to flaunt a scrawny appeal seems to have been passed down to phones from humans as a new competition to engineer a thin phone seems to have taken over the smart phone industry. While the Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge was supposedly the thinnest ever Galaxy device, the new Honor Magic V3 seems to be even thinner than that.
The Honor Magic V3
is about 9.2mm thick when folded and 4.35 mm when unfolded. While Samsung had been flaunting their engineering marvels, the Honor Magic V3 has a few aces up its sleeve as well. These allow it to easily attain the extensively slim form factor. Honor has revealed that they have supposedly taken the next step in the overall genesis of battery development. Honor says that they have used a battery with 10% silicon content in the negative electrode. The new battery as well as the ability to spread its housing in between the two panels of the foldable allow the phone to be thinner than most other smartphones. features like these allow the phone to have such low weight and slim appeal. Even after such a slim aesthetic, the phone has been equipped with a 5150mAh battery with 66W super charging with a wired apparatus and 50W wireless super charge.
Samsung Galaxy Edge S25
While the Honor might be able to flaunt numbers that are better than the S25 Edge; It’s a bit unfair to compare the two devices. Since the Honor V3 is foldable it has been able to achieve such a profound spec sheet and slim factor thanks to better battery management aided by the foldable form factor. The Edge S25 being a bar phone design, it’s only evident that all tech features have been squeezed and shoehorned into a smaller, tighter chassis which is a much harder task.
