Samsung had left a mystery in their last Galaxy S25 launch event; Samsung teased towards another announcement and showcased to the world a new super thin Galaxy S 25 Edge slated for a launch and release later this year. The same phone is now closer to launch and Samsung is planning an official debut for the phone on Monday May 12 At 8:00 Pm Eastern Time.
Samsung has showcased a few limited images of the new phone and a few vistas of the layout of the phone had also leaked before the launch that had been planned on May 12th. The phone would be thinner than Samsung’s current S25 lineup. The phone won’t be as expensive as the Galaxy S25 Ultra, but it would have the same flagship features as that of the rest of the S25 line up.
Packed With New Innovation
Samsung has reported, that the Edge S25 has been an engineering marvel for them, as a brand they have tried their best to equip the phone with flagship features and an appealing aesthetic. Beyond the features, Samsung has focused on the camera experience and equipped the phone with a 200 Megapixel Wide angle lens.
The phone would be launched soon in May and would beat the iPhone Air in the terms of being launched earlier. The iPhone 17 air is expected to be equipped with a 6.6 inch OLED display with pro-motion support, and a single lens rear camera. The air would be powered by A19 chip and an Apple designed modern chip.
Leaks have further revealed, that the supply of the Galaxy Edge 25 would first be limited to South Korea and China due to Supply Issues and it would be rolled out to the world much later.
Older Leaks About the Samsung Galaxy Edge S25
As per the new images the phone would be available in Titanium Jet Black, Titanium Icy Blue and Titanium Silver. The Leaks have been revealed by WinFuture.
As per the new leak, it has been revealed that the phone would have a flat display along with a centered camera hole up top. The bezels around the phone would be uniform and the physical buttons of the phone would sit on one side of the button.
May 13 Global Launch
While Samsung has not revealed any details themselves, it’s possible that the device would be globally launched on May 13th. The phone would be launched in the United states on May 30th, hence it’s possible that we would have to wait for a while for the phone to launch in India.
S25 Edge Specifications
The Phone would be powered by Snapdragon 8 Elite with two cameras at the rear. As per the details the main camera sensor would be a 20Mp snapper taken from the Galaxy S 25 ultra. Beyond that a 12 Megapixel unit from the Galaxy S25 would be used as an Ultrawide unit. Although the processor and the camera have been picked from the flagship the battery has not been, the battery of the phone would be replaced with a slightly smaller battery to make up for the limited space and the tighter chassis that the components would have to be fitted into.
