Samsung A17 5G is expected to debut in India soon. Ahead of its launch, a tipster has revealed the price of the rumored India variant of the handset. As per the leaks, the phone could be launched in three variants. The phone was already unveiled in key European markets on August 6, The European variant comes in three colour options: Black, Blue, and Grey. The phone is powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1330 SoC, coupled with the Mali-G82 MP2 GPU.

A tipster has further leaked that the new A17 in India will start at around Rs. 18,999 for the base variant with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. On the other hand, the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage variants can be priced at Rs. 20,499 and Rs. 23,499, respectively. This suggests that the company is preparing to unveil the handset in the country soon.
Going by the launch price in Europe, around EUR 239, the phone will be priced roughly at Rs. 24,393 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration.
A17 5G Expected Specs
If the Indian version is launched with the same specifications as the European version, it will feature a 6.7-inch Infinity-U Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. Beyond that, the phone will have an IP54 rating for dust protection and splash resistance. The phone will be powered by Samsung’s in-house Exynos 1330 chipset, coupled with the Mali-G68 MP2 GPU, and will come with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage.
The phone will possibly ship with a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for unlocking. For optics, the phone will be equipped with a dual rear camera setup featuring a 50-megapixel f/1.8 primary sensor and a 2-megapixel f/2.2 macro lens. On the front, it will carry a 13MP selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. On top of this, the Galaxy A17 5G will support 5G, Bluetooth 5.3, and USB Type-C. The phone will possibly pack a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired charging support.
The smartphone market has relentlessly ramped up to incorporate flagship features in mid-range phones. A recently launched competitor, the Realme P4 PRO, provides much better specs and features in the same price range. The availability of a 7000 mAh battery along with a 120 fps refresh rate makes the P4 Pro a much better choice than the A17 5G.
