With the rising competition in eth smartphone world, it has become an inevitable necessity for manufacturers to keep on updating their lineup consistently. In a similar pursuit, Samsung is planning to launch two new phones. The first launch will bring back the “Fan Edition” series in September 2025 with the Galaxy S25 FE. The phone will be an affordable alternative to the Galaxy S25, retaining premium features while cutting down on costs.
The device is rumored to feature a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with FHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,000 nits of peak brightness. Under the hood, the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 in select regions, while markets like India are expected to get variants with the Exynos 2500.
The phone is expected to debut globally in mid-September, shortly after the launch of the iPhone 17. Pricing is expected to fall between ₹55,000 and ₹60,000.
Samsung A17 5G
Samsung is also expected to expand its A-series lineup with the Galaxy A17 5G in September. The device, positioned as a mid-range phone, is aimed at users who want reliable performance and 5G support at a more affordable price.
The Galaxy A17 5G will feature a 6.7-inch Full HD+ (2340×1080 pixels) Super AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The phone will be powered by an octa-core Exynos 1330 SoC. It will come with 128GB of built-in storage (expandable up to 1TB via microSD card) and 4GB of RAM.
The phone will run on One UI 7.0, based on Android 15, and is set to receive six years of Android OS updates along with six years of security patches.
The triple camera setup on the back will include a 50MP f/1.8 primary sensor with 10x magnification, a 5MP f/2.2 ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 2MP f/2.4 macro sensor. On the front, it will feature a 13MP selfie camera.
The A17 5G will house a 5,000mAh battery with 25W wired fast charging support. Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, Bluetooth v5.3, Wi-Fi 5, GPS, NFC, and a USB-C port for charging. The handset will also come with an IP54 rating for dust and splash resistance.
