At the recent Galaxy Unpacked Event Samsung showcased the new Thinner version of the new Galaxy S 25 phones. the phone would be launched as the Galaxy Edge. As per the leaks it has become apparent that the phone would have superior specs along with one of the thinnest chassis that has ever been used by Samsung.
As per a tipster the phone would have the following-
Features and Hardware capabilities
The Phone Would have a 200mp Camera , a 12 mp front camera for the selfie. Beyond that the phone is being rumored to have a LTPO display with a 120 Hz refresh rate display.
Since the phone would bring back the thin bezel less screen design back the phone would have a aluminum frame, corning gorilla glass screen protection, 12 gb ram. Some of the features that would be similar to that of the current S 25 line would be the 25 W charging speed, Wifi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, UFS 4.0 and USB -C3.2.
Samsung is keeping the processor details close to chest as there have been no mention of the processor that the phone might be powered with. Its possible that the new EDGE line up would be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite.
Edge OR S25
Since most of the specs would probably remain the same as per the recent leaks its evident that the Edge series would not be a superior phone to the S25. Rather it would bring similar features at a new Slimmer form factor.
It would be of peculiar interest to witness how Samsung would fit in the same same processor and the other hardware that is available in the S25 in a much slimmer chassis. Its possible that the battery capacity of the phone might be reduced as well.
the screen bezels would be only 1.32 mm wide which means that the bezels would be slimmer than that of the S25 ultra. The Edge Would be going against the likes of iPhone 17 Air.
