New Delhi: Reliance, owned by Mukesh Ambani In the upcoming weeks, Jio is apparently preparing to introduce an inexpensive laptop in India under the name JioBook. According to reports, it is a 4G laptop, while a 5G version might be released later.

A Reuters story claims that Reliance Jio is developing a cheap 4G-capable laptop that will cost $184 (about $15,000). According to reports, the smartphone would have a Jio 4G SIM card built in. For quite some time, Jio has been developing the JioBook, and some of the device’s features were revealed in a report in 2021.

For the JioBook, Reliance Jio has teamed with Qualcomm and Microsoft. Qualcomm will supply the chipsets for the gadget to the Indian carrier, but Microsoft is anticipated to give support for some of the applications.

According to the source, the JioBook could start being made accessible to enterprise clients this month, including businesses like schools and government agencies.
