Redmi 12 5G: Xiaomi will launch its Redmi 12 smartphone in the Indian market on August 1. It will be a 4G smartphone and will be powered by MediaTek Helio G88 chipset. Meanwhile, a leak has revealed that the brand may also launch the 5G variant of the Redmi 12 in the global market soon. The Redmi 12 5G has been spotted on Geekbench, revealing some of its key specifications.
Geekbench listing
As per the Geekbench listing, the device has model number 23076RN4BI and is powered by 2.2GHz octa-core processor with Adreno 613 GPU. It will likely be powered by the Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 5G chipset. The listing also confirms that the smartphone packs 8GB of RAM and runs on Android 13-based operating system.
Geekbench score
The Redmi 12 5G managed a single-core score of 916 and a multi-core score of 2,106. The listing doesn’t reveal any other details, however, it appears to be a rebrand of the Redmi Note 12R that was launched in China in April. The Redmi Note 12R was reported to launch as the Redmi 12 5G in the global market and as the Poco M5 5G in India.
This model has also been certified by the Bureau of Indian Standards, which means it is most likely the Indian variant of the Redmi 12 5G. So, it looks like both the Xiaomi sub-brands, namely Poco and Redmi, will launch the Poco M6 Pro 5G and the rebranded Redmi Note 12R as the Redmi 12 5G in the Indian market.
