Reasons for the rise in the price of smartphones
As per a report in PTI, the smartphones that will have the display assembly and back support frames imported will attract a basic customs duty of 10%, but if the antenna pins, power keys and other parts are also imported along with the display assembly and back support frames. If you go, then the custom duty charge will increase by 5% and the total charge can increase up to 15%. This is the reason why the price of smartphones may increase.

These brands will be affected
