Google Meet has also breathed new life into the Pixel 9 Pro Fold, as it now supports simultaneous use of both front and back cameras. The feature, dubbed “Dual Screen on Meet,” lets Pixel 9 Pro Fold owners enable both selfie cameras to be used on a call. However, only if the call has already started will the functionality work.
Google recently announced this update among others about Google Chat and Sheets. With this new feature, meeting participants shall be cast on both inner and outer screens so that everyone will be able to view the call.
If you touch the controls while in a call, then an icon will be shown. This makes it very easy to toggle on Dual Screen and Dual Display, which can be turned off if that is your preference. Once activated, Google Meet will split the screen, showing video on one side and your surroundings on the other end.

When you video conference, people will be able to see you but also catch a glimpse of things around you using the camera on the cover display and, when they are open, the cameras on the inner screen. This doesn’t employ the Pixel 9 Pro Fold rear camera but instead relies on the two cameras on the cover display and on the inner screen. To understand more precisely just how this is accomplished, please refer to support documentation for the Pixel 9 Pro Fold.
