New Delhi: UPI Payment: Many times it happens that you are sending money to someone through your Google Pay, Paytm, or any other UPI app and the internet connection gets lost in the middle.

In such a situation, your money cannot be transferred and due to non-availability of cash, you may get stuck in the problem. If this happens, you can transfer money through UPI even without internet.

Government of India has launched a USSD (Unstructured Supplementary Service Data) based mobile banking service to facilitate using UPI services without internet. This service allows you to send money, change UPI PIN and check bank balance without internet connection. Through this service, you can work in 13 different languages including Hindi and English. Set up offline UPI payment account in this way

First of all, dial *99# from the mobile number with which UPI payment service is connected. Now enter your language and bank name. After that share the details of the last 6 digit digit of your debit card and expiry date of the card. In this way your offline account will be activated.

Do offline UPI payment in this way

Dial *99# on your smartphone or feature phone. After this enter 1 to transfer money. Here choose your payment option and submit the details of UPI ID, phone number, bank account number of the person to whom you want to send the money. After this, enter the details of the amount of money to be sent, its account and UPI PIN. In this way the process of offline UPI payment will be completed and you will be able to make the payment.
