Just a few days ago, we covered the special Realme 15 Pro 5G Game of Thrones Edition, but recently we got our hands on the all-new Oppo Reno 14 Diwali Edition. While its all-new design seemed interesting from the get-go, it was upon witnessing its Glow Shift Technology up close that we were really astounded.
While the phone has the same specs as of the normal Oppo Reno 14, its new back panel raises the style quotient higher than ever. The Diwali Edition has specialised Diwali-inspired graphics on the back, which help the phone stand out. And these are not your normal, run-of-the-mill graphics either, as Oppo has stated that, when the phone’s back is exposed to temperatures above 28 degrees Celsius and reaches near 35 degrees Celcious, the pattern starts to glow in a shimmering golden colour.
We had to see it to believe it, so we used our review unit to witness the shining effect. Before exposing the phone to the sunlight, the graphics were dull and showcased a black shade, but upon keeping the phone in direct sunlight for a while, the intricate graphics on the back lit up in a shimmering, bright, and gold shade. Oppo Reno 14 Diwali Edition Specs
The Diwali Edition is right now available only in the 8GB + 256GB variant. The phone is powered by the all-new MediaTek Dimensity 8350, with an octa-core CPU and a Mali G615-MC6 GPU. The rear camera sensors include a 50MP wide-angle camera with OIS and AF, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto camera with OIS, and an ultra-wide-angle camera with AF. The front camera is a 50MP unit as well.
The phone can capture 4K videos at 60 fps with ease, and even after extensive use, the phone will be able to last a whole day thanks to its 6000mAh battery with an 80W SuperVOOC charger. The phone operates on ColorOS x Gemini AI
