OpenAI Sora 2: OpenAI on Tuesday launched its most advanced AI video generation model, Sora 2, and introduced a new social media app that will take on popular platforms like YouTube and TikTok. Using the app, users can generate high-definition video clips with audio just by entering text prompts. It also offers a unique tool, Cameos, which allows you to add yourself to AI-generated scenes.
OpenAI said Sora 2 marks a major advance in artificial intelligence’s ability to create lifelike video content. The model can generate synchronised dialogues, sound effects, and realistic, physically accurate movements, making the videos far more immersive and true-to-life than before.
With this, OpenAI now directly competes with popular platforms owned by Google, Meta, and ByteDance, as it aims to change how content is created and shared online.
