In a series of Weibo posts, OnePlus confirmed that the “Glacier Battery” technology will be announced on June 20 at 2:00pm (11:30am IST). Designed specifically for Ace smartphones and developed with CATL, the Glacier Battery technology aims to address issues of frequent charging and power anxiety, offering a significant improvement in battery life.
Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station indicated that the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro will be the first device to feature this technology. Although the release date is not confirmed, the handset is rumored to include a 6,100mAh battery with 100W fast charging, capable of charging from zero to 100 percent in under 30 minutes. Despite its large battery, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is expected to maintain a slim profile with a thickness of “8mm”. Future OnePlus smartphones are also expected to incorporate this new battery technology.

According to previous leaks, the OnePlus Ace 3 Pro is anticipated to launch in the third quarter of this year. It is expected to feature a curved edge screen with a centrally located hole punch for the selfie camera, a 6.78-inch 1.5K resolution 8T LTPO display, and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC.
