OnePlus Open Foldable Phone: In February 2023 this year, OnePlus teased its foldable smartphone at the Cloud 11 launch event. While the company has remained silent on the matter since then, speculations are rife about the alleged handset’s design, price, launch timeline and other specifications.
Leaked renders have already hinted at the handset’s design and some camera details. The Shenzhen-based mobile maker hasn’t even confirmed any model name yet. And now a tipster has leaked the moniker that could be used for the first OnePlus Book-style foldable handset.
Tipster Max Jambor shared on Twitter that OnePlus is planning to launch its foldable phone with the OnePlus Open moniker. He also claims that the company considered several other model names such as OnePlus Prime, OnePlus Edge, OnePlus Peak, and OnePlus Wing.
Notably when the model was first teased, it was variously named OnePlus V Fold and OnePlus V Flip in some regions. After this, this phone was also called OnePlus Fold or OnePlus V Fold.
Colour variants
The first leaked information about the upcoming OnePlus foldable phone was that this phone will come in three color options like Black, Green and Golden. First the phone will be launched in China. After this, this smartphone will be available for purchase in other markets.

The OnePlus foldable phone is expected to feature a 7.8-inch 2K AMOLED inner screen and a 6.3-inch AMOLED outer display, both with 120Hz refresh rate. It is likely to run Android 13-based Oxygen OS 13.1 out-of-the-box. The handset is tipped to come with the octa-core Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 256GB of inbuilt storage.
The leaked renders have revealed that the upcoming foldable smartphone Samsung claims to offer image quality similar to the Galaxy S23 Ultra. The phone is expected to include a 50MP sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS), a 48MP sensor with an ultra-wide lens. At the back, there is a 32MP sensor with a periscope lens and two 32MP selfie camera sensors.
