OnePlus is preparing to launch its all-new flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, in India, following a teaser at the Snapdragon event. The device will be powered by the latest flagship Snapdragon processor that was recently unveiled.
OnePlus is setting the stage to introduce its latest flagship in the Indian market. The brand had recently showcased the phone at the Snapdragon event. Based on the brief reveal of the phone, it is believed that it will be launched with a new design.
According to speculation, the new OnePlus 15 is expected to launch in India by January 2026, likely priced around ₹74,999 for the 12GB+256GB variant, and is anticipated to compete strongly in its price segment.
OnePlus 15 to Be Powered By Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Chip
There have been a few instances where the OnePlus 15 has been showcased to the public. The phone was recently seen in a white colorway, featuring a back panel similar to the OnePlus 13S. It also shares a similar camera housing with the standard OnePlus 13S.
While the phone was unveiled on stage, the CEO refrained from disclosing its specifications. However, media reports suggest that the phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. This new chip is Qualcomm’s flagship mobile chipset and has been fabricated using TSMC’s 3nm (N3P) process. The SoC features a 64-bit architecture and is claimed to deliver up to a 23% performance improvement and 20% better power efficiency compared to the previous generation.
The OnePlus 15 will join other flagship devices such as the Xiaomi 17 series, Honor Magic 8 series, and the Realme GT 8 Pro as one of the first smartphones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset.
165Hz Display and Android 16-Based ColorOS 16
Another upgrade attracting attention is OnePlus’s decision to equip the new phone with a 165Hz display, a notable improvement over the 120Hz panel seen in previous models. The new screen will allow for higher frame rates during gaming, enhancing the overall experience.
The handset is expected to launch with ColorOS 16, based on Android 16.
