OnePlus is all set to establish new standards yet again with the upcoming launch of its next flagship smartphone in the coming months. It seems that OnePlus might skip the “14” in its naming lineup and launch the all-new OnePlus 15 first. Apart from the name, more information about the OnePlus 15 5G has surfaced, revealing major performance upgrades with a new processor, more RAM, and next-gen software. OnePlus 15 5G: Performance Upgrades to Expect
According to a recent Android Headlines report, the OnePlus 15 5G appeared on the Geekbench listing with model number OnePlus PLK110. The listing reveals crucial details of the flagship, including its chipset, RAM, storage, and software version. Insights from Geekbench suggest that the OnePlus 15 5G will likely be the first smartphone to launch with the Snapdragon 8 Elite 2 processor.
The flagship chipset is expected to debut in October, with OnePlus being the first to carry it. Early reports reveal the chipset will feature two prime cores clocked up to 4.61GHz and six secondary cores running at 3.63GHz. In addition, the OnePlus 15 could support 16GB of RAM and will likely run OxygenOS 16 based on Android 16 out of the box.
Expected Launch Timeline and Design
Media reports suggest the phone might launch in October in China, with a global launch expected in January 2026. The device is expected to arrive in three colours: Black, Purple, and Titanium, and could also bring notable design changes to the flagship line, including an entirely new camera system.
