Nothing Phone 2 On Geekbench: Nothing Phone (2) is going to knock in the market soon. It will be offered as a successor to the phone (1) launched last year. The brand has revealed that the phone (2) will be a premium offering powered by the Snapdragon 8-series processor under the hood. Meanwhile, the upcoming smartphone has been spotted on the Geekbench benchmarking platform. Which reveals some of its key specifications.
Geekbench debut
The Nothing phone (2) with model number A065 has been listed on the Geekbench database. It appeared with a motherboard codenamed ‘taro’ with three cores clocked at 2.5GHz, four cores at 1.8GHz and one prime core clocked at 3.0GHz. The listing matches the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC and is also in line with a previous report by a Qualcomm executive accidentally revealing the same chipset. It has been seen on Geekbench with 12 GB RAM. The smartphone will run on Android 13 OS out of the box.
Performance
In Geekbench’s single-core and multi-core test results, the Nothing Phone (2) managed to score 1,253 and 3,833 respectively.
Expected Specifications
According to the news, the design of Nothing Phone (2) is expected to remain like the old model. It will have features like a transparent back panel, aluminum frame and LED light lines. The smartphone is likely to get an FHD+ 120Hz AMOLED display, 256GB of onboard storage, and a 5,000mAh battery.
Launching date
The company has already confirmed the Nothing Phone (2) to be launched in Summer this year. In such a situation, it is expected that the smartphone can be introduced between June and August. At present, its exact launching date has not been disclosed by the brand.
