As per a recent report By Mark Gurman, a new possibility of the air pods to gain tiny cameras has emerged. Apple has great ambitions for the future of wearables and hence, the brand has been working on the next innovative step in enhanced audio. The tech report did not report as to what kind of camera’s might be used.
The Tiny new camera sensors would be used as infrared sensors. While the present new changes might seem like a rumor but similar changes were also confirmed by previous reports. One such report being from Ming -Cho Kuo in which she shared plans of mass producing new air pods with Infrared cameras by 2026. The new element that might be built in to the main electronic architecture of the air pods would have similar capabilities as that of the phones face id receiver.
The adaptability of new changes would help the wearables provide an enhanced spatial audio experience with Apple’s vision pro headset. The new features would allow the users to have a enhanced audio experience. With such infrared sensors if you were to move your head about while using the air pods the sound source in the direction that you move you head to would be emphasized.
Beyond that the new Infrared cameras would also potentially enable “in air gesture control” as well. This would further allow the device to interact with hand movements seamlessly. Apple might launch the new AirPods with infrared cameras in 2026 or early 2027.
iOS 18.3 Updates and Features
Apple would probably launch the new iOS18.3 soon and beyond that the camera would have a visual intelligence with a camera control. This would allow the users to easily add events to calendar from posters or flyers. Beyond that the new features this would allow the users to easily identify plants and animals using the internet. The following update would fix the bugs with the calculator app and beyond that also resolves the issue in which a song continues to be played even after the apple music application has been shut off.
