Motorola Razr 40 Ultra

Motorola has launched two foldable smartphones simultaneously in India. Both these phones are Motorola Razr 40, Motorola Razr 40 Ultra, powered by Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processors respectively. Here are the details of the price and specifications of both the phones.

The Moto Razr 40 features the same 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED screen with FHD+ resolution, which offers 144Hz refresh rate. Also, the cover screen on the vanilla model is very small, measuring 1.5 inches in size with 194 x 368 pixels resolution. The device gets an IP52 water-repellent rating.

For clicking pictures, there is a 64MP main camera with OIS and a 13MP ultrawide sensor. The front-facing sensor is the same 32MP one. The Motorola Razr 40 is powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, coupled with 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. The flip phone houses a massive 4,200mAh battery unit with 30W wired and 8W wireless charging support.

Features

The Motorola Razr 40 Ultra features a 6.79-inch main pOLED display with FHD+ resolution, 165Hz refresh rate, 1,400 nits peak brightness, and support for HDR10+. The smartphone sports a 3.6-inch cover display. The secondary display offers 144Hz refresh rate and gets Gorilla Glass 7 protection.

On the camera front, the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra packs a 12MP main sensor with OIS support paired with 13MP ultra-wide and macro lenses. For selfies, you get a 32MP shooter at the front.

The device is powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC processor, paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of onboard storage. It houses a powerful 3,800mAh battery with 30W fast charging support. It runs on Android 13 operating system and has an IP52 splash-resistance rating. The smartphone offers 5G, WiFi-6E, Bluetooth 5.3, USB-C port, and NFC as connectivity options.

Price, offers and more

The Motorola Razr 40 price in India has been set at Rs 89,999, while the vanilla Razr 40 costs Rs 59,999. However, you can also avail up to Rs 7,000 instant discount/cashback on the device by availing the bank offer, which will bring down the effective price of the device to Rs 82,999 and Rs 54,999 respectively.

Both the phones will be available for purchase in India via Amazon. Pre-bookings for both the phones have started and Motorola will start shipping both the phones on July 15.

Customers’ response

Both these Motorola phones will compete with the already existing Samsung and Oppo foldable phones in India. Samsung’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 foldable phone and Oppo’s Oppo Find N2 Flip phone are already available in the market, which are getting good response from the customers.
