Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: 5000 mAh battery, 50MP Camera – What More To Expect?

Motorola is all set to launch the Edge 50 Fusion in India soon. It boasts a 6.7-inch OLED display, Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chip, 12GB RAM, and a 50MP main camera. The phone runs Android 14 and packs a 5000mAh battery with 68W fast charging. This comes after the recent launch of the Motorola Edge 50 Pro in India.

Motorola will introduce the new Edge 50 Fusion in India soon. Adding to the excitement of all the tech enthusiasts, the Lenovo-owned brand has begun teasing the smartphone’s launch ahead of its official release. Taking to X (formerly known as Twitter), the company shared a short video with a caption that reads: “Step into the spotlight with our latest innovation. Get ready to shine like never before. #UnveilingSoon.” 

Furthermore, the teaser reveals that the upcoming phone will boast the best design and camera. While the company recently introduced the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion in the global market, the teaser hints that the same variant will soon arrive on our shores. Here’s what we know so far and what to expect from the upcoming smartphone.

Motorola Edge 50 Fusion: Specifications

The Motorola Edge 50 Fusion boasts a 6.7-inch FHD+ OLED display with a resolution of 1080×2400 pixels, a refresh rate of 144Hz and a peak brightness of up to 1600 nits. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 acts as a shield to the screen of the mid-range handset. An octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 2 chipset coupled with 12GB of RAM powers the Edge 50 Fusion.

With 256GB and 512GB storage options, the Motorola Edge 50 Fusion runs on Android 14 operating system. In terms of optics, it sports a 50MP main shooter with f/1.88 aperture along with a 13MP ultra-wide angle camera with f/2.2 aperture. Upfront, there is a 32MP selfie camera with f/2.45 aperture for selfie and video call duties.

An IP68 rating ensures resistance from dust and water, while stereo speakers is another key feature. The smartphone packs a massive 5000 mAh battery with support for 68W fast charging.

Recent Launch: The Motorola Edge 50 Pro

Meanwhile, Motorola recently launched the Edge 50 Pro in the Indian market. The mid-range mid-range smartphone sports a 6.7-inch 1.5K pOLED display with a resolution of 1220×2712 pixels. A layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 shields the display of the Edge 50 Pro, which draws its juice from a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 chipset. Offering up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage, the Motorola Edge 50 Pro runs on Android 14 operating system.

The smartphone features a rear camera setup comprising a 13MP ultra-wide autofocus shooter, a 50MP main camera, a 10MP 3x telephoto lens with 50x hybrid zoom, and a 50MP camera upfront for selfies and video calls. 

It has a massive 4,500 mAh battery with support for 125W TurboPower fast charging. Additionally, a 10W reverse wireless charging support and a 50W wireless charging are also available.
