The Motorola Edge 40 will be available for purchase through Flipkart. The microsite confirms that the Motorola Edge 40 will be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC. Motorola has teased the phone in its Nebula Green, Lunar Blue color and Eclipse Black options.

It has also been confirmed to offer IP68 rating in India. Motorola claims that the Edge 40 is the thinnest 5G phone with an IP68 rating. The phone is also claimed to be the first smartphone in its segment to feature a 144Hz curved display. With this, the rear camera of the Motorola Edge 40 is said to have the largest aperture in any phone in the segment.

Specifications

Motorola Edge 40 sports a 6.55-inch full-HD+ polarized display. It can get 2,400 x 1,080 pixel resolution, 144Hz refresh rate, 360Hz touch sampling rate and maximum brightness screen of 1200 nits. This Motorola model is available in Europe with 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

There is a dual rear camera setup in the back of the phone. In addition to optical image stabilization (OIS) support, a 50-megapixel primary camera with f / 1.4 aperture, 13-megapixel ultra-wide camera and macro image can also be found. It has a 32-megapixel front camera sensor for selfie and video chat.

Out of the box, this phone will work on Android 13-based MyUX. It has a dual speaker setup with Dolby Atmos sound. There is also the octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 8020 SoC. The phone is backed by a 4,400mAh battery pack, which comes with 68W fast charging and 15W wireless charging support.
