Lenovo Reports Success in ‘Made in India’ Products: Company Shares Ambitious Plans For Enterprise AI Next

It was last year in 2024 that Lenovo publicly announced that they had manufactured and Exported close to 12 million units From India in the Calendar Year. The figure has become a landmark for the manufacturer and since then it has been planning and directing its efforts towards improving the manufacturing to exceed the set milestone. The company seeks to exceed its target and double its production, such aims have been shared by Lenovo in a press release.

Lenovo has projected a 40% tentative increase in the production capacity next year necessary to support both domestic demand and exports. The company has been shifting its focus to Ai-driven Manufacturing, Increased R&D Investment, and enterprise solutions in India.

Beyond that, the company also reported that its Ai server manufacturing plant at its Puducherry facility would soon expand beyond smartphones, Laptops, and PCs. Such an expansion would take place from this Fiscal year. Such changes would help the brand strengthen India’s role in enterprise Ai deployment and cloud computing as well. 

Lenovo Tech World 2025

At the Lenovo Tech World, the brand has further unveiled Ai Powered Innovations to accelerate Enterprise Adoption, Digital Infrastructure, and India’s  Ai First Economy. Beyond that, the brand also launched its first Ai ready Pc under India’s PLI 2.0 Policy.

The Event is known for showcasing new innovations and devices that the brand would soon launch in the future. This time around it showcased intelligent devices, Transparent displays, Creative Workshops, and High Octane Gaming apparatus as well. 

In a previous press appearance, Shailendra Ktyal the Md of Lenovo had iterated that Lenovo has begun preparations to manufacture nearly all of its personal computers in India. And has been able to achieve 100% local production of Motorola Phones as well. 

Lenovo’s India has a workforce of around 14,000 with nearly a third of its technical team in R&d-across Moto and shared support centre -LSG innovation labs. Lenovo has made formidable progress in leveraging AI Powered Logistics to enable four- hour long delivery across eight Indian Markets. 

New Innovations At MWC 2025

Lenovo’s showcase at the recent event MWC 2025  has further brought formidable attention towards the innovation that the brand has been innovating. Some of the most innovative concepts that the brand showcased was a Yoga Solar Pc that integrates a Solar Panel a 24% energy conversion rate for efficient charging.  The Think book flip which has been showcased features a foldable OLED touchscreen for an expanded workspace. 

Lenovo has further introduced new Magic bay accessories, these include a new 8-inch Magic Bay 2nd Display with dual monitors. The Tiko Concepts Includes a  Tiko Pro, which offers widgets and a teleprompter, and the Tiko Emoji friend an Ai companion displaying interactive Emoji. Lenovo also showcased their new Think Pad X13 Gen 6 as one of Lenovo’s lightest Laptops.
