Jio Adds 20 Lakh New Users to Its User Base
TRAI has recently released the latest subscriber numbers for October 2025. The report indicates growth in the telecom sector. India’s total telephone users rose to 123.1 crore, of which 118.4 crore were mobile users and 4.6 crore were wireline subscribers. Mobile users recorded a marginal growth of 0.19% over the previous month due to sustained expansion in pan-India connectivity.
Reliance Jio continued to remain the country’s largest telecom operator in October, adding the highest number of new subscribers. As per the report, Jio added around 19.97 lakh new subscribers in October 2025. The total mobile user base has reached an impressive 48.47 crore in the country. The company has reportedly been growing consistently in 2024, driven by strong adoption of 4G and 5G services, along with improved rural penetration.
