JioPhone 5G: Reliance Jio is working on its 5G phone. In January this year, details about the JioPhone 5G had surfaced that revealed its specifications. This phone is likely to be introduced as India’s most budget-friendly 5G device. In the midst of all this, a Twitter user has also given information about the possible launch date and price along with the live image of JioPhone 5G.

Price

New leaks suggest that the Jio Phone 5G will be launched in India between Diwali and New Year. This indicates that the phone will be available for purchase in the country in the last quarter of this year. Talking about the price, there is a possibility that the price of JioPhone 5G may be less than Rs 10,000. This indicates that the device will be an affordable 5G phone in India.

5G Launch Date

It is currently unclear whether the device will feature the Unisoc chip or the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC. However, the leak states that the phone will come equipped with a 5-megapixel front camera and a 13-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual-camera setup.

The handset shown in the leaked live shots appears to be the prototype of the JioPhone 5G. On the front, it features a waterdrop notch display, and its back panel houses a vertical dual-camera setup followed by an LED flash and a Jio logo towards the centre.

Possible specifications

As revealed by Android Central earlier this year, the JioPhone 5G will feature a 6.5-inch IPS LCD HD+ (1600 x 720 pixels) resolution display, a side-facing fingerprint scanner, an 8-megapixel front camera, a . Dual camera system will be available at the back with 13-megapixel main camera + 2-megapixel macro camera.

Under the hood, the device will pack a Snapdragon 480 chip, 4GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and a 5,000mAh battery with support for 18W charging. The handset will have microSD card slot, dual SIM slot and connectivity options like n3, n5, n28, n40 and n78 5G bands.
