New Delhi: Jio, Airtel and Vi have given plans for 5G launch in India. Jio has disclosed this in its AGM held on Monday. At the same time, Airtel and Vodafone Idea have also given this information on different occasions. In the AGM, Jio has made it clear that it will start its 5G service in the month of October.

On Diwali, Jio 5G service will be live in major cities including Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata and Chennai. The company has talked about bringing Jio 5G to the entire country by the year 2023.

It was discussed that when Jio 5G will be launched and when will everyone get it. The biggest question is about its price. That is, how much will the customer have to spend for 5G service.

Jio had turned the whole game

4G network: After the launch, there was a big change in the recharge plans. This change was not only in terms of price but also in terms of usage. Earlier, the main focus of recharge plans was on calling services and data was secondary service.

The attitude of telecom companies regarding internet i.e. data was similar to SMS. After the entry of Jio, there was a big change in the telecom industry. For the first time, consumers got experience of services like unlimited calling and data.

Before this, people used to work for a whole month in 3GB to 4GB data. After the arrival of Jio, the daily data expenditure reached almost 1GB. After this, there was a change in recharge plans as well and instead of calling, companies focused on data.

Will 4G be amazing in 5G plans as well?

Today you will get most of the plans focused on data. We may not see such a big change in 5G plans, but there will definitely be a change in recharge prices.

Actually, telecom companies have been saying that the ARPU (user on average revenue) has been decreasing for a long time. With 5G service, these companies will get a chance to improve their ARPU.

Not everyone will get 5G service?

Along with this, companies have also spent a lot of money in spectrum auction, due to which the plans will come at a premium price. Airtel chairman Sunil Mittal said that consumers will have to spend a little more money for 5G services.

In some recent reports, it was also said that Airtel may not launch 5G service for everyone. This service will be available with select plans, which will come at a higher cost.

For example, the company can offer 5G service only in its long term plans. Instead of launching 5G plans, the company can offer 5G service with some premium plans. Similar is the case with Vodafone Idea as well.

Vodafone Idea plan will be premium

Vi has given the most information on the price of the plans. Vodafone Idea had already informed that consumers will have to offer premium price for 5G service.

On Tuesday, the company gave information about the 5G service launch. CEO Ravinder Thakkar said, ‘5G rollout depends on various factors. Like how it will be used, customer demand, capacity requirement and competitive dynamic.
