The users of telecom giant Reliance Jio were shocked on Tuesday when they found a major network outage, with around 10,000 error reports being filed by noon. In most of the cases, they found ‘No Signal’ popping up on the screen, to their disappointment and frustration.
‘No Signal’
On September 17, 2024, Jio users across India flooded social media with complaints about the widespread network outage of Reliance Jio. Data from Down Detector showed a sharp rise in problem reports around noon. By 12:18 PM, the website had logged 10,367 complaints, at 11:13 AM. According to the site, 68% of the reports were related to ‘No Signal’, 18% to mobile internet issues, and 14% to JioFiber services.
Outage Complaints
Although Jio has yet to release an official statement, some users have reached out to the company’s official account on X. One user wrote in a post on the social media platform, “I want to inform you that there is currently an outage affecting both Fiber and Jio SIM services in Mumbai. The outage has been ongoing for over an hour, and I’m reaching out to ask if anyone has started working on resolving the issue.”
