A recent joint venture in-between Reliance as well as Walt Disney has led to the genesis of a new rendition of the streaming platform Jio Hotstar. Beyond the new launch the company has been planning to reshape the subscription model. As per the new details Jio would offer the users with free access to most content for a limited time period each month, except for Hollywood Films.

Merger In between Jio and Hotstar

As per the top officials, the merger has been targeted to provide the users with extensive content sampling. To help a easy adaptation of the new changes Jio officials have also reported that subscribers would not see any changes when they make the proverbial switch to the new platform. The existing users would be able to continue their use with their current plans. The current plans offered by the Jio family are as follows – Mobile Rs 149, Super Rs 299 and Premium -Ad Free Rs 349 for three months.

What Would Happen To The Jio Cinema Users

Jio cinema users would be migrated to the Jio Hotstar premium for the remaining of the duration of their plans. JIO Cinema users would be migrated to and would be able to experience the benefits of a premium access account with ease. The pricing of the new platform would remains familiar. Rs 149 for mobile subscriptions for a quarter and Rs 499 a quarter for the full ad free experience.

Jio Hotstar The New Hub For International Content

Apart from original content the new application would be offering content from local producers along with content from major international channels such as NSBC Universal Peacock, Warner Bros, Discover, HBO and Paramount. Such a wide array of shows from different outlets would help the brand gain a profound recognition amongst the users.

The platform would offer 4k streaming services and advanced features including Ai powered Insights, real time stats, multi angle viewing and special feeds. These new add on features that are unlike any other features provided by other services would help Jio to provide a more diverse experience.

New Subscription plans

The subscription plans have been divided into three main categories

The cheapest plans start at Rs 149, for three months or Rs 499 for a year. This is a mobile specific subscription plan and would only allow mobile viewing for the users. The next plan would cost Rs 299 for three months and Rs 899 for the whole year. This plan would give the users more leeway as it allows active use on two devices at once. Beyond that the user would have the full freedom to use this plan on either a phone, Tv or any other device.

The last plan would be the costliest, with Rs 299 for one month, Jio has allowed users to be able to purchase the subscription for a several months altogether at Rs 499( via Website). For Three months the subscription would cost Rs 1499- For this price users would get access to use the subscription on Four devices and watch content without any Ads.
