Apple iOS 18.3 has been brought to the apple users with a bunch of new features as well as bug fixes. Apart from the mainstream features the company has also introduced a starlink connectivity feature. Apple had first introduced the satellite connectivity features in 2022, but the current iterations have further improved the functionality. As per recent news reports apple has supposedly worked with Space X and T mobile to bring start link satellite connectivity to the iPhone.
The Report added T-mobile has initiated the testing of the early version of the connectivity with a limited number of iphones. The development coincides with the release of iOS 18.3.
How Does The Connectivity Function
The connectivity would allow users to send text messages even when the internet connectivity might be erratic. As per the reports even when the T-mobile phones have no signal the devices would allow the starlink program, to connect to the space X satellites. Users can further enable texting through the use of satellite menu for Global star or contact emergency services of Apple. As of now such advanced connectivity would be available for texting only, but space X and T-mobile have been continually working to provide the add on data and voice-over services later.
Possibility In India?
As of now the service is only available in the Us . This is quite unlike the Apple’s Global star service which works in multiple countries. As it appears the starlink connectivity services would be expanded worldwide in future.
The News report also delineate the key differences in between the apple’s current feature and global start service. This feature requires the users to point their phones toward the sky to connect to a satellite. But in contrast starlink functionality option is designed to work automatically as the normal phone internet reception does.
New Features With iOS 18.3 Update
ios 18.3 makes several changes to the notification module to address complaints of the users about false new headlines. Notification summaries would soon return with the new improvements. The feature update would help the notifications be aggregated and summarized. As of now if a user switches on the notification summaries they are shown a warning that this is a Beta Feature, and there could be possible errors.

The new update has brought in new update specific wallpapers. These would complement the other new changes that would be instilled as well. Such as the new watch face as well as a new apple watch band. Beyond that the new update would surely work on the bugs that were reported by users in the older versions.
