Human Mobile Devices have launched their all-new, groundbreaking device, the HMD Touch 4G, in India. The new 4G phone is being dubbed as a hybrid phone, designed as a digital device for millions of Indians by offering features that are traditionally exclusive to smartphones.
HMD points out that the HMD Touch 4G is engineered for a new generation of digital users—students and blue-collar professionals- who want the benefits of a smartphone experience at the price of a feature phone. The phone has a 3.2-inch touch display, cloud-based applications, a dedicated SOS key, and segment-first features such as real-time chatting and video calling.
Key Feature Highlights
Smartphone Experience at a Limited Price – A smooth touchscreen interface powered by the robust S30+ Touch platform for a familiar smartphone feel at an affordable price.
Cloud App Suite – Although the phone has been designed to be an affordable offering, users will be able to access video, social media, and utility applications, including cricket scores, news, weather updates, and HTML5 games like Tetris and Sudoku, streamed directly to the device.
Video Calling and Improved Connectivity – Through a proprietary Express Chat application, users will be able to make video calls, send messages, and participate in group chats in 13 languages across any Android or iOS smartphone. The device also supports Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi Hotspot functionality for data sharing.
Dual Cameras and Dedicated SOS Key – The 2MP rear camera and VGA front camera will allow users to capture and share moments. The dedicated SOS key is activated by three short presses or a long press, ensuring quick access to emergency calls and Express Chat.
Add-on Features – The phone will offer a one-year replacement guarantee, Bluetooth, a 2000mAh battery with in-box fast charger, and a protective soft silicone cover (jelly cover). Other features include wireless and wired FM, Type-C charging, auto call recording with folder management, and intuitive Touch UI.
The phone will be available in two colours: Cyan and Dark Blue.
Availability
The HMD Touch 4G will be available at a price of Rs 3,999, starting 7th October 2025. The phone will be available at leading retail stores, major e-commerce platforms, and on HMD.com. While the phone’s specs make it appear inundated in front of the flagships, its price makes it a relevant choice as for users who seek a secondary phone with wifi hotspot features.
