Grok 3 is now available for free to everyone until the servers reach capacity, announced xAI. If you have an X Premium+ or SuperGrok subscription, you’ll get to keep using this AI even after the servers are full, plus you’ll get early access to new features like voice mode. Elon Musk confirmed that this AI will be free for a limited time. Prior to this update, only Premium+ subscribers could use Grok 3.
“This is it: The world’s smartest AI, Grok 3, now available for free (until our servers melt). X Premium+ and SuperGrok users will have increased access to Grok 3, in addition to early access to advanced features like Voice Mode,” wrote xAI on X.

“Grok 3 is the most powerful model ever: crushing it in reasoning, math, coding, world knowledge, and instruction-following tasks and showing remarkable performance across a range of benchmarks,” wrote xAI in a thread post on X.
With this new AI, xAI introduced two new features: DeepSearch and Think. According to xAI, DeepSearch is a powerful agent that can rapidly synthesize key information, reason about conflicting facts & opinions, and distill clarity from complexity. Individuals can enable “Think” mode to use our reasoning model. It’s best for math, science and coding, said xAI, adding that people can also ask Grok to “Think harder” about any question that might need a little more brain power.
Elon Musk called Grok 3 the “smartest AI on Earth”. To power it, xAI’s massive Colossus supercomputer will be used, which has over 1,00,000 Nvidia GPU hours dedicated to training AI models. Notably, this powerful supercomputer was built in just eight months. Moreover, Musk says that his AI chatbot is driven by curiosity and a relentless pursuit of truth.
Grok 3: X Doubles Premium+ Price
Shortly after the launch of Grok 3, xAI’s latest AI model, X more than doubled the price of its Premium+ subscription plan to nearly $50 per month.
This plan grants users access to the newest model AI. It is worth noting that this is the second price hike for the Premium+ plan in just a couple of months. The previous increase was done in December, from $16 to $22 per month. As a result, Premium+ subscribers will now pay more than double their current rate.
