After months of anticipation, Google has finally launched its next-gen AI system named Gemini. While the company already had an AI chatbot known as Board, Gemini is expected to be the AI system that Google plans to use to compete with Open AI’s GPT series. Sundar Pichai, CEO of Google, announced the launch of Gemini, stating that it represents the company’s ‘largest science and engineering effort’ to date.

Gemini Ultra’s performance exceeds current state-of-the-art results on 30 of the 32 widely-used academic benchmarks. With a score of 90.0%, Gemini Ultra is the first model to outperform human experts on MMLU.”
Some reports claim that the arrival of Gemini might pose challenges, especially for OpenAI’s ChatGPT. However, when it comes to Google, expectations for excellence are always high. The company has been swiftly advancing in the race, as demonstrated by the storm it created worldwide with ChatGPT last year. With Gemini, Google might be well-equipped to respond effectively to challenges posed by new AI ventures from other companies.
Google states that in the coming months, Gemini will be integrated into more of their products and services, such as Search, Ads, Chrome, and Google’s AI platform, Duo. The company describes Gemini as a multi-modal AI system capable of engaging in conversations with users through various input methods, including text, images, and audio.
