Launch Date in India
It has already been confirmed by the company that this phone will be officially launched on 11 July 2023 through a virtual event. Apart from this, the phone will also be offered through Flipkart. A few days after the launch, it will also be made available for sale on the e-commerce website.
Specifications out
A dedicated microsite on Flipkart is teasing the specifications of the this phone. It is advance speculated to have the same design language as its predecessor, the Nothing Phone 1. Whereas, Nothing co-founder and CEO Carl Pei has indicated that the smartphone will look different from its predecessor.
Nothing phone 2 features
The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC will power it, according to the Flipkart listing. This confirms receiving 3 years of Android OS updates and 4 years of security updates. The Nothing Phone 2 is also confirmed to pack a 4,700mAh battery.
The smartphone is claimed to be made from a 100% recycled aluminum frame, while over 80% of the phone’s plastic components have been sustainably sourced.
Nothing phone 2 Design
Renders of this phone have also been leaked which suggest rounded corners and slightly curved front and rear panels. However, Pei has also called these renders fake. Talking about the teaser images, the phone revealed a design similar to the Nothing Phone 1 with a transparent glass back and slightly different glyph interfaces.
