The Thinned-down version of the Galaxy S 25 is finally here, the phone boasts a similar 6.7 Inch Display, with Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset and a host of AI features. While launching the phone Samsung boisterously showcased the innovation and intensive engineering they have gone through to ensure that the phone has the same features as that of of any flagship with chassis that is only 5.8 mm thick and only weighs 163g.
S25 Edge-Specs
Samsung has revealed that this is the thinnest smartphone that they have ever built and if you really seek a thin form factor you should probably go for the Galaxy S25 Edge. The phone is miles apart from any other device that is currently selling on the market. Samsung has ensured that the thin chassis can withstand the daily use without showing signs of fatigue after a extended use. They have details how the phone uses Titanium frame, along with a fortifies Corning Gorilla Glass display the Ceramic Glass 2. Beyond that with the tighter chassis Samsung has also been able to inculcate in the phone a IP68 waterproof resistance.
The Drawbacks
While Samsung profoundly showcased the features and new innovations they have instilled in the phone they remained rather moot about the battery. Which is a 3900mAh unit the smallest across the S25 range. Compared to the S25 range with 4000mAh battery in the S 25 and 4900 mAh in the Plus. With the 120Hz AMOLED display and a Snapdragon Elite chipset there would be a significant battery drain. The 25W wired charging apparatus with the phone would further make the charging a rather tedious task.
Beyond the rather puny battery, another drawback of the S25 that is instantly visible would be the two rear lenses without any telephoto lens. Although the 200Mp sensor is the same as we have seen on the flagship S25 but at a premium price the incorporation of only two camera setups could be a demerit for users. You can preorder the S25 Edge right now at $1,099.99 for the 256Gb variant while the 512Gb variant would cost $1,219.99.
