CMF, the budget-focused sub-brand of Nothing, has launched its first pair of over-the-ear wireless headphones. The CMF Wireless Headphone Pro borrows features like a multi-function roller control from Nothing’s Headphone 1, which debuted in July. The all-new CMF headphone borrows a few elements and features from Nothing’s first-ever over-the-ear headphones. The CMF Pro headphone has touch-sensitive panels instead of tactile buttons.
Beyond that, the headphones have a round power/Bluetooth button on one side, while on the other side, the headphones have an action button that can be programmed for any use through the Nothing X app. The Pro also features a multi-function roller for adjusting volume, controlling playback, and adjusting the presence of ambient sounds.
The headphones also have a unique energy slider that allows the user to adjust the bass and treble as necessary. With this, users will be able to customize the EQ on the fly without operating the Nothing application.
New Features
Since these headphones will have to compete against the likes of Sony and JBL’s flagships, they have a few other cards up their sleeve as well. The CMF Headphone Pro offers dynamic noise cancellation that automatically adjusts sound dampening based on the intensity of ambient noise around you. CMF has pledged a 100-hour battery life without ANC, which reduces to a measly 50 hours with ANC on.
The Headphone Pro offers significantly longer battery life than the Headphone 1 with ANC and Sony’s WH-1000XM6, lasting up to 55 hours per charge. If the battery runs out unexpectedly, a quick five-minute charge provides up to four hours of listening. Additionally, the headphones can be recharged directly via USB-C by connecting to many smartphones.
