By 6 p.m., the outage tracking site Down Detector had already logged more than 7,000 reports. The issue appears to be linked to Cloudflare, a critical infrastructure provider known for its content delivery network (CDN) and distributed DNS services.

The glitch has further knocked out several prominent social media platforms, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, X, Spotify, and Gemini.
