In a fresh attempt to re-establish and revive the state-owned Telecommunications giant, BSNL has received approximately Rs 61,000 crores from the department of telecommunications. The new allocation will help BSNL roll out its 5G services and possibly gain a competitive edge against the likes of Airtel and Jio.
According to a recent report by Economic Times, BSNl now has the license and necessary permissions to emit 5G Spectrum bands that range from 700 MHz To 3300 MHz, critical components for delivering faster high-speed connectivity. BSNL will be launching their new 5G plans by mid 2025- the launch would require further infrastructure development that would ensure a seamless transmission of 5g spectrum internet plans.
