However, now a new case has come to the fore. Hackers have found an Android app (Android Fraud App) to infect devices with spyware malware, which puts users’ data at risk when it is on the phone. If you have this app in your phone too, then delete it immediately. Here are the details.

A fake Android app called ‘SafeChat’ can prove to be dangerous for WhatsApp users, using which can prove to be dangerous for you. Actually, this SafeChat app steals not only your WhatsApp data but also GPS data including phone call log list, texts.

According to a report, the SafeChat app user interface gives users first trust on its authenticity. This deception then allows the threat actor to extract all the necessary information.

However, before the victim is aware that the app is a dummy, the malware manages to transmit and extract user data out of slyness. So if you have this app in your phone too, then delete it immediately without thinking anything.

Secure data as follows:

Always keep your Android device up to date. You should keep the phone updated with the latest software. With this you can avoid cybercrime.

Install any application through Google Play Store or other authentic sources. In this way you will be able to stay away from fake and fraud apps.

Do not download any app or visit any website or social media after clicking on any link.

Keep changing the password of other important apps or accounts including your social media from time to time. Do not share your account password with anyone.
