A recent post from the Twitter handle of Tim Cook has led the Tech world to anticipate and analyze what could be the next launch from Apple that would be revealed this Week. Most of the rumor’s are indicating towards the launch of new MacBook air with M4 chip, but Apple can possibly launch other products with the air suffix. If the next launch is possibly that of a Macbook with M4 chip here is an in detail analysis of what we know so far.

Design
Apple would continue to use the same old design as that of the generations before it. These would include the 13 inch as well as the 15 inch sizes. There would not be any substantial changes to the new look of the MacBook. The New M4 MacBook air models would likely look identical to that of the Current gen models.
Display
As per the reports and rumor’s the addition of the mini LED Display tech feature that is offered with the MacBook Pro would not be gone through with for the new MacBook air. These would continue to use the same Liquid Retina Display technology as that of the current model.
Apple has recently started offering a Nano texture matt display upgrade option, its possible that we might be able to see similar options being made available with the new Mac book air.
M4 Chip
M4 chips has already been powering a bunch of devices, these include MacBook Pro, iMac, iPad Pro, and Mac mini as well. The M4 has a 10-core CPU as well as a 10-core GPU along with that a 16-core Neural Engine as well. Hence the M4 chip would be able to easily outperform the M3 chip, but this would not be a shocking upgrade. No groundbreaking improvements are expected in the CPU and Gpu department, there could be a performance increase of about 25%. The lowest spec RAM a user would be able to opt for would be 16 GB.
Battery Life
Since the new M4 chip is much more efficient with better optimization the new MacBook air can witness battery life gains. Apple has not yet detailed any changes in the battery department.
Thunderbolt ports
The Current Gen MacBook air has two thunderbolt 3 ports, But the next generation models could possibly get three thunderbolt four ports. These would be an upgrade for both Speed and Connectivity. The MacBook air coils possibly gain the new feature to support two external displays for both speed and connectivity.
M2 MacBook Air Discontinuation
The Apple MacBook Air with M2 chip would be discontinued once the new MacBook air with the M4 chip is launched. Apple Also sells a great deal of other products with the AIR suffix , hence its possible that Tim cook’s hint might be indicating towards some other launch that would surface soon this week.
