In 2008, Apple launched the App Store and has since consistently employed industry-leading technology to ensure user security. Thanks to these security measures, the company has saved users USD 7 billion, which is about 584 billion rupees in Indian currency.
Apple claimed to have saved billions of rupees by preventing online fraud from 2020 to 2023, with a projected $1.8 billion savings in 2023. This information was disclosed in Apple’s fourth annual Anti-Fraud Analysis.
The Credit Card Has Stolen And Has Been Locked
Apple reported that it blocked 14 million stolen credit cards and 3.3 million accounts associated with those cards. In 2023, Apple prevented 3.5 million fraudulent purchases made with stolen credit cards. During the same period, around 1.1 million accounts were banned for attempting to make purchases with stolen cards.

More than 1.7 million apps have been rejected
Apple’s Annual Fraud Analysis Report outlines how Apple Store rules protect users from fraudulent apps, among other issues. In 2023, the company reported that it had rejected over 1.7 million app submissions for not meeting the standards of Apple App Store policies.
Many developers’ accounts have been terminated
In its report, Apple announced that it terminated approximately 374 million developer and customer accounts in 2023. Specifically, the company blocked 118,000 developer accounts in 2023 to prevent the creation of fraudulent apps. Additionally, around 91,000 developers were rejected from enrolling due to fraud-related issues.
