New Delhi: Apple Vision Pro Launched: Apple has launched Apple Vision Pro on Monday, June 5 at its annual Worldwide Developers Conference. This is the company’s first mixed reality headset equipped with a high resolution display with EyeSight. This allows the wearer to remain aware of their surroundings. Specifications

Apple Vision Pro supports eye and voice control. It supports both Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies. Apart from this, this device is also equipped with many sensors and cameras. It comes with a rechargeable battery which can be charged and worn by the user.

The Mixed Reality headset resembles a pair of ski goggles, with an aluminum frame and a glass display. as well as a cloth-lined mask and strap that attaches to the wearer’s face.

Apple says that the device can be controlled through the eyes by looking at the graphical elements on the display. Users can also tap their fingers and use voice commands to control things.

Will allow Surround View which uses camera sensors around the device to show the wearer’s eyes to neighbors in AR mode. A dial on the right corner will switch between AR and VR modes. This will allow users to access specific apps.

Price and Availability

Apple Vision Pro has been introduced for $ 3,499 i.e. around Rs 2,88,700. Early next year, the company’s first Mixed Reality headset will be available for sale through Apple.com and Apple retail stores in the US. However, no official information has been revealed yet regarding when this headset will be available in markets other than India.

Features

The new Apple Vision Pro is equipped with a Dual Micro OLED display with 23 million pixels in both panels. The headset is equipped with a custom 3D lens that allows the wearer to view AR content within their field of view. It features foveated rendering to show the highest resolution image in the viewer’s viewing area.

The device is also equipped with a full sensor array including a high-speed main camera, downward camera for hand tracking, IR illuminator and side camera. It also has a LiDAR scanner and TrueDepth cameras for hand-tracking and understanding the space under the device. It is equipped with two individually amplified drivers that deliver personalized spatial audio according to Apple.

Camera

The device is powered by Apple’s powerful M2 chip as well as a new chip called R1 which is based on the M2. According to the company, it supports 12 cameras, five sensors and six microphones. Apple claims that the headset can display an image in under 12ms. The company says that the Zeiss optical insert will be available to wearers who have glasses, allowing them to use the headset.

Apple also says the device will use its various sensors to create a user’s “persona,” a life-size tile of their face, minus the headset, that appears during a FaceTime call.

The headset runs on a new operating system called VisionOS which has a real-time subsystem, a spatial audio engine, a multi-app 3D engine, as well as a foveated renderer to optimize performance. The operating system is also compatible with iOS and the Spatial framework, according to Apple.
