Apple recently announced its “Awe Dropping” iPhone-centric event, which will take place on Tuesday, September 9, at 10:00 AM Pacific Time. A long list of products in the pipeline could potentially be showcased at the event. Here are a few highlights to look forward to:
The iPhone Air
The main highlight of the event will be the unveiling of the first redesigned iPhone in years. The iPhone Air has gained immense prominence due to the advanced technological feat Apple has been able to achieve with it. Packing the phone with almost the same functionalities as the standard iPhone in a smaller form factor is certainly a difficult task, and Apple has seemingly achieved it with ease.
The fact that the phone is expected to be only 5.5 mm thick has further raised anticipation among users. A few compromises with the reduced thickness may include shorter battery life and the possibility of a single-lens camera.
Apple Watch Ultra 3
Beyond the iPhone Air, the Apple Watch Ultra 3 is also rumored to include satellite connectivity, allowing wearers to get help in emergencies using satellite communication in remote areas where Wi-Fi and cellular connectivity are unavailable. Since this will be an Ultra-only feature, users should not expect it on the Apple Watch Series 11.
AirPods Pro
Apple is also planning to update the AirPods Pro with improved active noise cancellation, better sound quality, and a refined design. Rumors suggest that the AirPods may feature in-ear heart tracking, similar to the Powerbeats Pro 2.
New Camera Design for the Pro Version
Since Apple has redesigned the iPhone 17 Pro models, there will be a new pill-shaped camera bump that’s much larger than before. A more durable build is also expected for the back, primarily using aluminum instead of glass. Rumors suggest that the phone might be equipped with a 48-megapixel telephoto lens with up to 8x optical zoom.

Accessories
Apple usually opts for muted colors for their accessories, but this year, a shade of orange may be added. Alongside rumors of Apple launching a lineup of liquid silicone covers, a new update has revealed that the iPhone 17 Air might be introduced in a new light blue color. In addition to silicone covers, the brand is also planning to release a slew of fine-woven cases. These new cases will include cutouts to support straps and lanyards.
