New Delhi: Apple has already announced additional features and details about the next generation iOS17 at WWDC 2023, including iMessage upgrades, keyboard upgrades, some AI functions, and new utility features such as NameDrop. However, iOS 17 will take a few months to reach customers worldwide, and in the meanwhile, Apple has planned another iOS upgrade, iOS 16.6.
According to rumours, the corporation has already handed out the upgrade to select beta testers, including certain crucial features. According to the source, these capabilities will be available in iOS 16.6.
iMessage Contact Key Verification
One of the key security elements would be the ability for users to certify that they are chatting with the actual recipient rather than an unauthorised third party who is discreetly monitoring the discussion. If two or more users enable the function, for example, they will be able to communicate. If there is a breach in the cloud servers, Apple will also issue an alert.
Beats Studio Buds Icons
According to speculations, the iOS 16.6 beta features two new colour icons for Beats Studio Buds. These icons would represent the clear and ivory earbud colour options.
iCloud For Windows Prompt
According to the insider, Apple may also introduce a new iCloud login screen for Windows login attempts if the iPhone and Windows devices are not linked to the same Wi-Fi network. It would put pressure on the requirement for both devices to be on the same network in order to advance and offer an alternate login network.
However, as of this writing, none of these features had been publicly acknowledged by the corporation. It would be fascinating to see if the features make it to iPhones when the upgrade goes live ahead of iOS 17.
