Apple ‘Glowtime’ Event 2024 Highlights: Apple has finally launched the much-anticipated iPhone 16 series at its biggest launch event of the year called the ‘It’s Glowtime’ event, which began at 10:30 PM IST in India and took place at the company’s headquarters. The live stream of the event was available on Apple’s official social media channels and its website apple.com.
Other than the iPhone 16 series – iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, and the iPhone 16 Pro Max, other major launches included the Apple Watch Series 10, the new AirPods 4, and AirPods Max.
Other key announcements included a new A18 chip, enabling Apple Intelligence across the lineup. Apple Intelligence is one of the key features for iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Pro models. Confirming the previous leaks, the Apple iPhone 16 series comes with an action button and a “Camera control” button.

Apple has introduced the new iPhone 16 Pro at the 'It's Glowtime' event.
The new iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus start at $799 and $899 with 128GB base storage.
Now, a simple, light click will launch the camera, and pressing it again will take a photo. When you hold down the control, the video recording will start.
There is a main 48MP camera with a 26mm focal length. A high-resolution 48MP image is combined with a 12MP pixel-binned photo, which delivers a 24MP image with enhanced light capture. Additionally, it gets a 12MP telephoto shooter with a f/1.6 aperture for 2x optical zoom.
You can now take macro photos and spatial photos/video on iPhone 16.
Hindi is not supported by Apple Intelligence as of now.
Multiple generative models are being directly used on the iPhone to perform various tasks. Genmoji is an exciting feature, allowing you to create new emojis by simply typing a description.

The A18 chip is based on a second-gen 3nm process and it gets a six-core CPU with two high-performance cores and four efficiency cores. This makes it 30% faster than the CPU used in the iPhone 15.

Apple Intelligence will be available in beta next month!
