Apple iPhone 17 sale in India: Long queues formed outside the Apple stores in Mumbai’s Bandra Kurla Complex (BKC) and Delhi’s Saket on Friday as the iPhone 17 series officially goes on sale in India. Several customers in line At BKC have travelled from outside Maharashtra, highlighting the craze of Apple iPhones across India. Apple launched the iPhone 17 Pro and Pro Max during its “Awe Dropping” event on September 9, after first showcasing the base iPhone 17 and the new iPhone Air. The event also saw the unveiling of the latest Apple Watch Series 11, Watch Ultra 3, and Watch SE 3, along with the new AirPods Pro 3, featuring enhanced health and audio capabilities.

Customers excited to get their hands on the new iPhone 17
Among the eager customers was Manoj, who came from Ahmedabad and has been waiting since 5 am. “I come from Ahmedabad every time. I have been waiting since 5 AM,” said Manoj. Another customer Bayan Kapoor said that that he is excited as the reviews were great online. “Reviews are great online. I don’t know if I will be able to get one. Let’s see if Apple fever will increase or decrease,” he added.
A customer named Amaan Memon in Mumbai praised the features as it would help enhance the gaming experience. “I am very excited for the iPhone 17 Pro Max series. This time, Apple has a new design. It features the A19 Bionic chip, so the gaming experience will be enhanced. I have been waiting for this colour for the last 6 months, when I came to know that this colour is going to be launched,” he added.

About Apple iPhone 17
Apple launched the iPhone 17, the latest edition of its standard iPhone model, on Tuesday, September 9. The company announced the iPhone 17 along with several new features, starting at a price of USD 799. The new model has been upgraded with a larger 6.3-inch display and a 120Hz ProMotion refresh rate, according to The Verge. One of the most significant upgrades is the camera system, which now includes a 48-megapixel “dual fusion” rear camera that combines the capabilities of a main camera and a telephoto lens into a single unit, according to Apple.
According to Apple, the new model also has a 48-megapixel fusion ultrawide that’s capable of capturing images in 4x higher resolution compared to the iPhone 16. A striking feature in the new model is the new square-shaped front camera sensor, which lets users capture high-quality selfies in landscape mode without rotating their phone.
