Apple iPhone 17 Pro New Colour Revealed! Fresh Leaks Showcase New Sky Blue Shade

A leaked hands-on video from China allegedly shows the iPhone 17 Pro Max with its redesigned full-width camera island, hinting that the rumored design could be confirmed next week.

Today, a very quick hands-on video has surfaced in China, purportedly showing a real iPhone 17 Pro Max unit being handled by someone on the production line. Needless to say, this is big if true.

The oft-rumored redesign of the rear is once again confirmed, featuring a massive camera island that stretches all the way from left to right. The rest of the back has another outlined section, seemingly meant to make the camera island look less obtrusive.

Of course, this could just be another dummy unit-we’ve seen plenty of those with the iPhone 17 family. Still, whether real or not, it strongly suggests that the leaked redesign is set to become reality next week.

While the video that has seemingly emerged from a manufacturing line and is being shared to reveal the looks of the iPhone 17 Pro, it’s worth noting the colour of the iPhone. Since the iPhone has been rumoured to be launched in two new colours, it’s possible that this might be the blue color that is yet to be launched on September 9.

Ahead of the launch, the company has decided to move some of its older devices to the Vintage list.

The Vintage List

According to Apple, a product is deemed Vintage when it has been out of the sales market for more than 5 years but less than 7 years. Apple Stores and Apple Authorized Service Providers generally do not repair these “obsolete” products. However, some MacBook models may remain eligible for battery replacements for up to 10 years after distribution and sales have ended, depending on parts availability.

Which Apple Products Have Been Added to the Vintage List?

As reported by MacRumors, the latest additions to the list include the MacBook Pro 13-inch and MacBook Pro 15-inch models, both discontinued back in 2017.

In terms of iPhones, Apple has added the 64 GB and 256 GB versions of the iPhone 8 Plus to the Vintage list. If you’re still using one of these devices, this might be the right time to consider an upgrade, given that repairs can become costly as parts supply dwindles.

Products Added to the Obsolete List by Apple

  • MacBook Air (11-inch)
  • MacBook Pro (13-inch)
  • MacBook Pro (15-inch)
  • iPhone 8 (64 GB and 256 GB models)

Phones That Could Be Discontinued After the iPhone 17 Launch

While Apple has not officially revealed which models will be discontinued after the iPhone 17 launch, reports suggest that the iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max could be phased out, in line with Apple’s tradition of not selling two Pro models side by side.
