Apple is set to unveil the iPhone 17 series in just five days, and leaks and revelations are still trickling in. While these details remain unconfirmed, some of the latest leaks circulating online have reportedly surfaced from the Taiwanese market.
According to rumors, the all-new iPhone 17 and iPhone 17 Pro will feature 120Hz displays, ensuring smoother scrolling and content viewing. The regular iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus had 60Hz displays, with the higher 120Hz refresh rate previously limited to the Pro models.

Another leak concerns the iPhone 17 Air
Reports from the Taiwanese market suggest that the upcoming iPhone 17 Air will use a “Silicon Anode battery.” This battery type offers higher energy density compared to the graphite batteries used in other iPhone models, likely referring to the High-Density Battery that Apple supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo previously mentioned. Leaks also suggest the iPhone 17 Air will ship with a battery case to ensure the device lasts a full day on a single charge.
iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max
Another rumor claims the iPhone 17 Air will rely entirely on eSIM technology, with no physical SIM card slot, due to its ultra-thin design. Meanwhile, the iPhone 17 Pro and iPhone 17 Pro Max are expected to feature optimized software algorithms to enhance optical zoom—possibly increasing the limit from 5x on the iPhone 16 Pro models to as high as 8x.
As previously rumored, Apple may also adjust its release cycle going forward, with lower-end iPhone models launching in the first half of the year. This two-phase strategy is expected to begin next year, with the iPhone 18 Air, iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max, and iPhone 18 Fold set to debut in September 2026.
