iPhone 16 e has been the subject matter of headlines after its launch. But even during its launch, a few queries remained unanswered. These are particularly about the possible battery size that the phone would be equipped with as well as the performance of the new 5G modem. While the performance of the new Modem chipset would only be revealed once the phone goes through hands on review, the battery size of the iPhone 16e has been revealed.
As per a new report by David Lee from YouTube channel Dave2d the device is equipped with a 3,961 mAh battery. This showcases about 10% increase over the battery capacity of the regular iPhone 16 model, which has a battery size of around 3,561 mAh battery.
Battery Details Of All The iPhones That Have Been Released Over The Years
iPhone 16 Pro MAX had a battery of around 4,685 mAh and the iPhone 16 Pro has a battery of 3582 mAh battery, iPhone 16 plus had a battery of about 4,675 mah, iPhone 16 -3561 mAh and iphone 16 e would have a battery size of around 3,961 mAh. As per Apple iPhone 16e offers the longest battery life of any other 6.1 inch iPhone ever. Apple had already reported that they had made specific changes to the phone’s chassis to incorporate a bigger battery.
As per the tests conducted by lee over at his YouTube channel the phone lasted for about 12hours and 54 minutes of battery powered operations. In the same test, the regular iPhone 16 only lasted 11 hours and 17 minutes. So, even after being the budget iteration of the 16 series the phone would offer a considerable amount of usage with ease.
CNET’s Patrick Holland Spoke about the Battery life
As per him the test unit that he has been using gets charged from empty to a 59% in 30 minutes with a 30 watt wall charger. He further added that he has been using the phone quite heavily, testing the camera, running apple intelligence and playing hardcore games.
As per him the phone can most definitely make it through a day with a single Charge. The CNET video streaming test also revealed that with the battery charged to a 100% the 16e did not drop a single % even after an hour.
