iPhone 16 Pro: 4K Video At Up To 120fps

Sources close to 9to5Mac say that the upcoming iPhone 16 Pro is likely to capture 4K video at up to 120fps, which is double the capture speed of the iPhone 15 Pro range at 60fps. It means that when you capture at the highest resolution of the camera, it will enable up to 4x slow-motion effects.

Furthermore, the iPhone 16 Pro will get 4K ProRes video recording to external storage at 120fps. You will need to ensure that the external storage of your device is fast enough as minimum specs could rise from the current limits.

The report said that the company has been experimenting with recording 8K video on the iPhone 16 Pro. Currently, Samsung’s Galaxy S24 Ultra supports 8K video recording. However, the report suspects that the 8K recording could be postponed to next year for iPhone 17 Pro range, which is expected to get a higher-resolution zoom camera.

iPhone 16: New Touch-Sensitive Capture Button

More details about the iPhone’s new touch-sensitive capture button have also emerged. According to report, the capture button will be capable of “reproducing different actions depending on how you press or slide it.” One you press the button, it will open the built-in camera app or an alternative selected by user. The camera will focus with the gentle press and then a harder press will start capturing photos or videos.

This report confirms the previous leaks and further claims that you will be able to adjust zoom or exposure by sliding a finger across the button. If this happens, it will make it easier and quicker to do such adjustments.

For confirmation, we will have to wait for Apple event, scheduled to take place on Monday, September 9. Apple is expected to introduce iPhone 16 lineup and other devices at the event.
