Apple has unveiled the all-new iPad Pro, powered by the advanced M5 chip – marking a major leap forward in performance, AI capabilities, and connectivity. With up to 5.6x faster AI performance than the M1 model and a next-gen GPU featuring Neural Accelerators in every core, the new iPad Pro is built to handle demanding creative and professional tasks with ease.
Paired with the stunning Ultra Retina XDR display, support for Wi-Fi 7, and game-changing iPadOS 26 features, the redesigned iPad Pro offers an unmatched on-the-go experience in a thin, lightweight form. Pre-orders are now open, with availability beginning October 22.
A New iPad Experience with the M5 Chip

It will offer up to 6x faster video transcode performance in Final Cut Pro for iPad compared to M1, up to 4x faster AI image generation in Draw Things, and up to 3.7x faster AI video upscaling in DaVinci Resolve. The third-generation ray tracing engine allows for superfast 3D rendering. The iPad is now optimized for on-device AI workflows and creative tasks.
Connectivity and Upgrades
The new iPad will feature the C1X modem, offering up to 50% faster cellular data and up to 30% less power usage. eSIM support makes plan switching easier and more secure. It also features the new N1 wireless chip, which supports Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6, and Thread. The new chip provides better performance on 5GHz networks and improves the reliability of AirDrop and Personal Hotspot features.
Ultra Retina XDR Display and Design
The new iPad will now come with Tandem OLED technology for higher brightness and contrast, supporting 1000 nits full-screen brightness for both SDR and HDR content, and 1600 nits peak brightness for HDR. A nano-texture glass option is also available to reduce glare while maintaining color accuracy. The display offers a 120Hz refresh rate and Adaptive Sync for low-latency workflows and gaming.
Design and Build
This is the thinnest iPad ever, with the 11-inch version at 5.3 mm thickness and the 13-inch version at just 5.1 mm. Despite the ultra-thin design, the device packs top-tier hardware and performance enhancements across the board.
